The premiere travel magazine for brides and grooms, "Destination Weddings & Honeymoons" scours the globe for the best in weddings, honeymoons and romance. That exhaustive search led the publication to antique jewelry boutique Topazery.

"Inspired by France's Art Nouveau movement, settings of this period were inspired by Japanese art and nature, and typically featured flower or vine designs," the magazine's first spotlight explained. It went on to add, "Diamonds were rarely used; instead, pieces incorporated semi-precious stones such as pearls and moonstones for a stained-glass window effect.

A slideshow of five Art Nouveau antique engagement rings from Topazery followed this writeup. Art Nouveau jewelry features noted by the magazine included plique a jour (an enameling technique that "lets in the daylight" or allows light to shine through), leaves and posies, swirling bands and playful nature motifs.

In a second second spotlight, "Destination Weddings & Honeymoons" showcased Art Deco engagement rings from the Topazery collection. "Art Deco replaced the ornamentation of Art Nouveau with streamlined shapes, bold colors and the use of contrasting gems such as rubies, emeralds and sapphires set alongside diamonds and crystals," the second slideshow opened with. It then highlighted an amethyst cocktail ring, a diamond hexagon wedding ring, a platinum aquamarine ring, an old European cut diamond engagement ring, an aquamarine cocktail ring, and a diamond and emerald engagement ring from the Art Deco era.

"'Destination Weddings & Honeymoons' is the go-to resource when it comes to everything romantic, and Topazery is all about evoking romance for brides and grooms to be," explains the antique jewelry boutique's spokesperson. "Incorporating soft and flowy elements into its designs, the Art Nouveau jewelry period is among the most romantic antique eras. Art Deco jewelry, in contrast, expresses individual freedom, and there's nothing more romantic than that for the modern-day woman. The Topazery rings 'Destination Weddings & Honeymoons' highlighted from our collection reflect this romanticism.
