This antique Victorian snake ring with star sapphire is reminiscent of mystical sorcery and magical incantations with its blend of supernatural elements. The 14k yellow gold band is etched and fashioned into the shape of a slithering cobra. Wrapping and winding its way, around to the front portion of the finger, the ends of the snake are adorned with three bezel set old mine cut diamonds. These SI2 clarity, I-J colored diamond accents total approximately 0.18 carats. The cobra culminates in a gorgeous oval double cabochon star sapphire that weighs approximately 14.70 carats. Antique Victorian snake rings with star sapphires as mesmerizing as this one are a true jewelry rarity. Circa 1875-1895.
