Coachella Style and Vintage Rings in the High Desert of Joshua TreeJanuary 20, 2017
Exploring California has become a favorite pastime so we gathered up our vintage rings and set out on a visit to another of the Golden State's natural treasures, Joshua Tree National Park. We teamed up with model Justine Wheeler for a Coachella-style fashion shoot showcasing the beauty of vintage jewelry sparkling in the light at sunrise.
Rising 2,700 feet above sea level, Joshua Tree National Park embodies the famous serenity and colorful, wind-swept beauty of the California high desert. Arriving at sunrise, we were absolutely amazed by the sight of the towering rock formations, the dazzling natural light, and of course the many Joshua Trees from which the park takes its name. With such a gorgeous backdrop at the ready, we wasted no time in combining vintage engagement rings, as well as some truly exceptional antique rings, with free-spirited fashions to capture the essence of Joshua Tree.
It's easy to get swept up in the ethereal allure of the high desert. With the sunlight slanting through the cacti, stones, and trees, we snagged some amazing images of Justine wearing Topazery jewelry and southern Cali styles that echoed the clean, eye-catching lines and rich colors of her wind-and-water-carved surroundings.
From intricate patterns that reminded us of the scoured rocks and brush to soft colors that characterize the desert landscape, we were spellbound by the sight. It's hard to pick a favorite, but we're sure you'll agree that these elegant rings and boho fashions are as at home among the saltbush and the sage as they are the stylish sanctuaries and musical mayhem of Coachella!
We loved visiting Joshua Tree. But even the most magical sunrise can't last forever and we look forward to coming back.
