When the 2015 Oscars were handed out at the 87th Academy Awards on February 22, the red carpet lit up with more than just the biggest Hollywood stars. Jewelry played a major role in the fashion statements the celebrities put forth. And many of the most prominent jewels were borrowed from the antique and vintage worlds. In particular, several of the starlets glitzed themselves up in antique diamond drop earrings like the ones from Topazery which are shown in the photo.

Following is a Top 5 rundown of the most spectacular jewelry pieces spotted on the big screen's elite.

1. Actress Margot Robbie stole the night with a zipper style necklace. Dubbed the "Zip Antique Colombine", the necklace showcased a beaded blue sapphire tassel along with diamonds and sapphires lining its 18k yellow gold zipper. Robbie told interviewer Ryan Seacrest, "It was created for the Duchess of Windsor or something in the '30s. I am very lucky to be wearing this." That lineage would technically make it a vintage piece of jewelry, not antique. Semantics aside, the necklace still stole the show.

2. Jennifer Aniston - Many felt the actress should have earned a Best Actress nomination for her role in "Cake," but the snub didn't stop Aniston from looking like a winner. She subtly topped her form-fitting champagne-colored gown with a pair of antique Art Deco drop earrings in a combination of platinum and diamonds.

3. Naomi Watts - A cast member of the Best Picture winner, "Birdman," Watts finished off her black and silver gown with a pair of antique Art Deco earrings that were highlighted with sapphire drops.

4. Anna Kendrick - The "Into the Woods" actress's salmon-colored halter dress was threaded through at the neckline with a stunning diamond collar necklace. A pair of vintage-inspired diamond cluster earrings finished off her show-stopping ensemble.

5. Gina Rodriguez - This TV celeb from the new sleeper hit series "Jane the Virgin" wowed the red carpet in a sleek blue silk gown and a pair of antique Art Deco platinum and diamond drop earrings.
